At SAIM&S we are aware that there is much more to an Employable Resource than just regular curriculum studies. And we continuously strive to deliver that extra bit that will help our students stand out from the crowd, so that two years hence you are not another Management Graduate, but a vied for resource for the best companies across the globe.
After extensive research and brainstorming with persons across industries, we discovered that there are a few subjects that are an imperative across all sectors, be it Banking & Insurance, FMCG, Retail, IT/ ITES, Consumer Durables or Hospitality. There are always a few subjects that are always of some use to Management Graduate in one-way or the other. Subjects that help them excel in their work field and give them an edge over their peers. We have shortlisted two such modules that will be of great help to our students.
SIX SIGMA CERTIFICATIONS
History
Six Sigma was originally developed in the 80s by Motorola, who holds the registered
trademark for Six Sigma. Fortune 500 companies in numerous sectors utilize Six Sigma methods to bring about product improvements. One in particular, General Electric Co., defines Six Sigma as "a highly disciplined process that helps us focus on developing and delivering near-perfect products and services."
In general, Six Sigma is a data-driven methodology for using quality management and statistical modeling to improve business processes. The term "six sigma" is a statistical term that refers to 3.4 defects per 1 million opportunities, an "opportunity" being an instance when not meeting specifications is possible.

Green Belt Certification Course
Green belts are trained in Six Sigma and are meant to spend only a portion of their time implementing Six Sigma initiatives. They can be referred to as "practitioners" who follow the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve and control) model.
Yellow Belt Certification Course
Yellow belts receive conceptual training at a high-level to guide them when they work on projects under the guidance of Six Sigma initiatives.
White Belt Certification Course
White Belt certification combines Six Sigma quality standards with lean manufacturing principles, which aim at making work faster. Lean Six Sigma is based on four key goals: delight customers with speed and quality, improve processes, work together for maximum gain, and base decisions on data and facts.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE CERTIFICATION
This program begins with laying the fundamentals of Business Intelligence (BI), starting with the need for information systems in large organizations, the evolution of BI from various information systems. The course moves towards introduction of the concepts and current methodologies for using On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) technology and data warehouses. Then, the concepts, usage, and implementation of multidimensional modeling, multidimensional objects such as cubes & dimensions, multidimensional expressions, are covered.

Enterprise Reporting Using SAS Enterprise Guide

Business Analysis using BI Technologies
- Access data in Microsoft Excel and create reports and analyses in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office.
- Build business views of enterprise data using SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Understand the basics of the system administrator functions using SAS Management Console and build simple information maps with filters
- Use information maps in various SAS Business Intelligence desktop and Web browser applications
- Use SAS data sources in PivotTables and Create customized bar charts and summary tables Use stored processes, SAS tasks, and wizards to create reports
- Create spreadsheets, documents, and slides from SAS output and create SAS OLAP cubes derived from detail tables and star schemas
- Generate aggregations using cross-dimensional tuning and ARM analysis Set access permissions for SAS OLAP cubes and Exploit SAS OLAP cubes
