Finishing School

The concept of Finishing School was initiated by NASSCOM in collaboration with NITs/ IIT Rourkee as nodal centres in 2007. Working on the same lines SAIM&S has established a Finishing School for its own students. Having realized the importance to fill the gap between university curriculum and industry requirements, our Finishing School is different in the sense that it is one of its kind initiatives by a Management College in India. It is an Institute for the students of SAIM&S whose sole purpose is to develop and deliver programmes, modules, short courses and capsules that will make students ‘Industry Ready’ and to impart knowledge and skills as required by the industry for matching of jobs. The finishing school shall provide an opportunity to the students to develop soft, managerial and communication skills. The Institute and its faculty continuously work towards the goal of increasing the ‘Employability Quotient’ of its students and the curriculum has been drawn in consultation with the best academicians, industrialists and working professionals.

This would prepare them to face the varied and dynamic needs of the industry. The school shall supplement the understanding of business practices, commitment to quality, and timeliness with the aim to improve leadership quality and team spirit. The course structure is designed to address the basic requirements of the industry. The subjects have been chosen with a view to impart knowledge and training in areas that are of maximum need of the industry and are usually the weakest link in the repertoire of a student. The curriculum at Sis vast and encompasses modules of Personality Development like Public Speaking, Effective Communication & Business Etiquettes. It also includes preparation of course subjects in form of Short Term Review Capsules for various specializations.
